Now that the poll is closed and the tallies have been counted, it’s time to announce your Stagebound winner for 2016…
Death by Denim
Death by Denim is the vibrant musical assimilation of 4 dedicated indie rocks heads from Perth. Palle, Nik, George and Hamish take influences from The Red Hot Chili Peppers and Arctic Monkeys as well as Beach Boys and Thin Lizzy; all 4 boys bring their own distinct style which results in a carefully-crafted, versatile set list. Audiences are drawn in by their honest and anecdotal storytelling, delivered with passion and engagement. Be prepared for high energy rock and roll with plenty of ballads for your loved ones, infused with a classic Australian rock sound, melt-your-cheeks guitar solos and peppered with high-energy electrifying rap verses. The band’s live show has been praised as a display of grandiose, fall to the floor frivolity that’s clicking on all cylinders. From the first jam back in May 2016, the band have been writing constantly and have gained a very loyal fan base along the way. Having filled venues such as The Rosemount and Jack Rabbit Slim’s and after a sold-out debut single launch at the Indi bar for “Feel Your Soul”, Death by Denim will be hitting the studio at the end of November to record their next single “Horizontal”.
